There is no need to bring anything when coming to my house to play poker. I do not require my guest to pay anything or bring anything. I usually provide soda and some snacks.
That being said, some people have been asking what they can bring to the games. I do not provide beer so, if you plan on drinking please bring your own beverages with enough to share. Gary has been kind enough to always provide ice for the games, so as long as he is coming there is no need to bring any. Also Tom may be donating a fridge which will reduce the need for ice in the future.
As far as food, please only bring food that does not make a mess and is easily shared. Pretzels and M+M's are always good choices. Carrots and celery are a nice healthy option, but please no dip. Also no chips since they usually make hands greasy and can get seasoning everywhere. Resulting in the need for new decks of cards halfway through the night.
We also use 2-6 decks of cards a week, so new unopened decks are always helpful.

After a summer without poker, it is time to start the games going again.
The next tournament will be on Friday September 23th at 7:15 pm.
I will follow the same rules as the last game but the blinds will go
up in value a little quicker after the first hour.
20 minute blinds
$10 buyin for 1000 chips
$10 unlimted rebuys when you have less then 1000 in chips during first 3 levels
$10 Add-on after first hour of 2000 chips
I have a new tournament clock that will keep track of the players,
blinds, breaks, rebuys, add-ons and winnings.
Feel free to comment on the new rules here.
Charlie will not be playing, but he would like to meet everyone.

Game Cancelled
Friday's game was cancelled so there are no results to post. I can post that since there was no game I was able to get a lot of work done on the hardwood floor I am installing in the second bedroom and was able to complete the installation this weekend. I just need to install the moulding and touch up the damage that I did to the walls during installation.

Results of Poker Tournament Friday May 20th
This tournament was the first run with the new rules and new tournament manager. The game was set up as a $10 game, but the average spent was $30. I felt the rebuys and addons added more excitement to the game and got more action in the first hour. The only change I plan on making for the next game is to have the blinds accelerate a little quicker after the break. Please post any comments you have on how the game went or changes you would like to see for the next game.
The tournament results are as follows:
There were 15 players, with 20 rebuys and 10 addons. The total prize pool was 450 and was distributed as follows:
1st Place David - 224
2nd Place Gina - 113
3rd Place Gary - 68
4th Place Anthony - 45
For all of the places and full details check the web site:
